MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Driver

MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 445cc Driver with Graphite Shaft

Cup Face 360°
No face welds - the entire face is the sweet spot. Every shot feels like dead center.
It may only be a few millimeters on the face, but hitting the ball off-center instead of direct-center usually means chipping instead of putting. Cup Face 360° technology makes the entire beta-titanium face a sweet spot. The 3-D plasma welding is completely off the face, enabling maximum rebound properties over a larger hitting area. It's a sweet spot that is 30% larger than normal insert technology. So every shot feels like you hit it dead center. And the edge of the face can put you a long way down the middle.

Beta-Titanium Face
High rebound. Hot ball response.
Alpha, alpha-beta and beta: Like the three grades of gasoline, there are three grades of titanium. Beta-titanium is high-octane supreme. MacGregor uses TVC beta-titanium in the NVG2's cup face, because its high elongation properties are ideal to generate hot ball response from all points of impact. As long as you make contact, you're going long. Yes, beta-titanium is expensive. Better materials always are.

Quadra Tungsten Weighting
Higher MOI. Less twisting. Greater accuracy.
Distance technology isn't much help if it only puts you further OB, which is why the MACTEC NVG2 Driver is equipped with high-density tungsten. Four precision-placed weights keep unwanted rotation of the clubhead to a minimum. The 1.5 gram weights in the extreme heel and toe act as stabilizing forces to increase MOI, while 10 and 7 gram tungsten weights are precisely positioned in the sole to create a draw bias. Quadra tungsten weighting complements the power of the NVG2 with an abundance of control - something you'll appreciate if you want to play your second shot from the fairway, not the tee box.

Light Crown Structure
Lower CG. Low spin. High launch.
The one-piece body structure of the NVG2 Driver was engineered with an incredibly thin crown (.6mm). This is 40% less mass than a standard titanium crown (1mm), and allows MacGregor to redistribute weight from the crown to the sole via tungsten weights. The precisely positioned weights lower the CG by 8% to produce low spin and an easy, high launch angle.

Beyond Performance
Stunning design. Tee box envy.
The MacGregor MACTEC NVG2 Driver delivers performance, but it's also every inch as beautiful as the drives it sends into the distance. Sparing no expense, the rich, translucent paint is applied in multiple coats, complementing the mirrored finished with a depth luster one finds in the finest luxury automobiles. It represents not just a better understanding of science, engineering and golf - it's a higher order of design.

Fujikura Quadra Action Shaft
Added clubhead speed. Extraordinary distance.
The proprietary technology inside the Fujikura Quadra Action shaft will increase your swing speed. Of course, more swing speed means more distance. Ingeniously engineered with three bend points and four stiffness zones, the Quadra Action shaft generates, loads, stabilizes and releases increased energy at impact. Golfers get more clubhead speed without swinging harder. It's an extra level of technology for some extra distance on the fairway.
